Spring Patterns I’m Loving & How to Use Them in Your Home
Spring always brings that fresh, new energy, and I love using patterns to reflect that in a home. Whether it’s soft florals, breezy stripes, or organic textures, adding the right patterns can completely transform a space without a full redesign. If you’re craving a little seasonal refresh, here are some of my favorite spring patterns and how to use them effortlessly.
1. Florals, But Make Them Modern
Florals are a classic for spring, but I love seeing them in a more modern way—think oversized blooms, abstract designs, and softer color palettes. If you’re not ready to commit to floral wallpaper (which, by the way, can be stunning in the right space!), try floral throw pillows or a light, flowy set of drapes to add that fresh touch.
2. Soft, Breezy Stripes
Stripes instantly bring a relaxed, sophisticated vibe. This season, I’m loving softer, watercolor-inspired stripes—perfect for upholstery, bedding, or even an outdoor rug. They add just enough pattern without overwhelming a space, making them a great option if you want something subtle.
3. Nature-Inspired Prints
Spring is all about bringing the outdoors in, and botanical prints, leafy patterns, and organic textures do just that. Whether it’s a statement wallpaper, a textured throw blanket, or even ceramic pieces with earthy patterns, these details bring warmth and an effortless natural feel.
4. Mixing Geometric & Organic Shapes
One of my favorite design tricks is layering different types of patterns. Try pairing geometric shapes with soft, nature-inspired prints—think a bold rug with delicate botanical wallpaper or a modern lamp with a floral-patterned chair. The contrast creates balance and keeps things interesting.
5. Color Blocking with Soft Pastels
Spring is the perfect excuse to play with pastels, and I love incorporating them in color-blocked patterns. Whether it’s a piece of artwork, accent pillows, or even a statement chair, mixing soft blues, greens, and blush tones adds a cheerful, seasonal feel without going overboard.
Bringing It All Together
The key to working with patterns is balance—mixing bold with subtle, organic with structured, and color with neutrals. If you’re unsure where to start, start small! A patterned vase, a fresh set of pillows, or a new rug can make all the difference.
Feeling inspired but not sure how to bring it all together in your home? That’s where I come in! Let’s create a space that feels fresh, stylish, and totally you this spring.
