Hi, I’m Jessica, founder of J. Miles Design — and I know exactly how overwhelming it feels to want a beautiful home but not know where to start. A few years ago, I took our dark, dated builder-grade house and transformed it into a light, bright, and welcoming home — all while juggling family life, budgets, and endless decisions. We then sold our home so we could start building our dream home. Happy to say that after so much hard work, we completed this incredible build adventure and settled into our new home in Cumming, Georgia.
That experience taught me how to create stylish, functional spaces without the stress (or the luxury-level price tag). Now, I help busy homeowners skip the guesswork by delivering clear, curated design plans they can confidently bring to life, blending approachable pricing with the option for elevated touches when it matters most.

Virtual interior design — also called e-design or online interior design — is a professional home design service delivered entirely online. You share photos, measurements, and style preferences with your designer, and receive a complete, personalized design plan digitally: custom mood boards, floor plan layouts, curated furniture and decor selections, and a shoppable product list with direct links. No in-person appointments. No travel. Just a polished design plan delivered to your inbox.
At J. Miles Design, we offer several package options depending on how many rooms you need and the scope of your project — from single-room à la carte packages to whole-home e-design covering up to 15 spaces. All packages are flat-fee with no hidden markups. You shop your curated product list at retail prices from stores like Wayfair, Amazon, West Elm, and Target.
Most designs are delivered within 2 to 4 weeks after you complete your design questionnaire. Single-room packages tend to move fastest. Whole-home packages and new build designs — which involve finish selections, multiple rooms, and 3D renderings — typically take 3 to 6 weeks depending on scope and revision rounds.
Absolutely. We start with what you already have and only suggest new pieces when needed to complete the look. This keeps your design cost-effective and ensures nothing goes to waste. You'll tell us what to keep and what you're open to replacing in your design questionnaire.
Not at all. Our curated shoppable product lists are there for your convenience, but you are never required to buy through our links. You're free to source any item from wherever you prefer. We source from popular retailers so you're shopping familiar, trusted places — but the choice is always yours.
Yes — kid-friendly and pet-friendly design is one of our specialties. We know how to select durable, stylish materials and furniture that can actually handle the demands of a busy household. Just tell us about your kids, pets, and lifestyle needs in your design questionnaire, and we'll factor everything in from day one.
Our goal is for you to love every detail of your home. Each room includes up to 8 rounds of revisions — so we keep refining until it's exactly right. If you need additional edits beyond that, they're available for a small additional fee. Simply email us and we'll take care of it.
